Timothy Alexander, an Emmy award recipient and world renowned inspirational speaker. A faith driven young man, Tim has dedicated his life to motivating and inspiring others. Timothy attended Erwin High School in Birmingham,Alabama and was ranked #8 high school football player in the state.Timothy had the opportunity to play for any college in the country when he was involved in a life changing car accident in 2006, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Doctors said he would never be able to read, write, twist or talk again. From that point on, Timothy was left to find his purpose when life turned out very different from his plan.
After much hard work, depression, determination and struggle, he enrolled in Wallace State Community College and graduated on the Dean’s List. He continued his education at UAB and graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication Management.
A defining moment came on September 2, 2017 when he was able to stand up and walk out of the tunnel on his own for the first time since being paralyzed on October 28, 2006. The video of him standing and walking went viral, catching the eye of ABC National News, ESPN-SportCenter, CBS-SportsNetwork, and other news stations worldwide.
His positivity and grit shine through his smile as he tells his story and inspires others to believe what he knows to be true about life, and the ability and drive inside each and everyone one of us. “We don’t need it to be easy, we just need it to be possible.”
