OHIO ALLIANCE OF YMCAs<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Ohio Alliance of YMCAs is a nonprofit association that represents the 163 YMCAs throughout Ohio.\u00a0 We are a grassroots driven and governed organization that advocates and educates on behalf of the YMCAs and its mission.<\/p>\n

We diligently monitor legislative and regulatory issues, as well as educate and advocate to policymakers concerning all of the community services YMCAs provide.\u00a0 The Alliance has been involved in several key issues at the state level that directly impact YMCAs.\u00a0 The Alliance has engaged with legislators, other statewide policymakers, and interested parties on any issue that would affect YMCAs, including the following: early childhood and school age care funding and policy; nonprofit tax policy; swimming pool, spa, and spray ground regulation; and funding for statewide initiatives such as providing memberships to foster and kinship care families.<\/p>\n

OHIO YMCA HEALTHY LIVING COLLABORATIVE<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Ohio YMCA Healthy Living Collaborative is a managed services organization created to provide management services to Ohio’s YMCAs, as wellness providers, and any and all things necessary, appropriate, convenient, or incidental to this purpose.\u00a0 The Collaborative facilitates discussion and contract negotiation between YMCAs and healthcare providers, payors, or any other party interested in partnering with YMCAs as well as promote the services and benefits of the YMCAs.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”top-bottom” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” overflow=”visible” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1\/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn” css=”.vc_custom_1678303550477{padding-right: 10% !important;}”]\n

OHIO ALLIANCE OF YMCAs FOUNDATION<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Ohio Alliance of YMCAs Foundation was created to support the great work of the Ohio Alliance of YMCAs, as well as each of the 163 YMCAs in Ohio.\u00a0 The Foundation is a nonprofit association that focuses on direct service to Ohio\u2019s Ys, such as strategic planning and board governance; youth development programs, like YMCA Youth & Government; funds administration for statewide YMCA initiatives; and conference planning and facilitation.<\/p>\n

The Foundation provides direct services to Ohio YMCAs through two strategic consultants.\u00a0 Those services include strategic planning, board governance, Y to Y collaborations, capital development, CEO on-boarding, and CVO on-boarding.\u00a0 For more information, please click here.<\/p>\n

The Foundation is growing the Ohio YMCA Youth & Government program.\u00a0 Since leading the program in 2013, we have grown exponentially.\u00a0 YMCA Youth & Government is an unmatched civic engagement experience for middle and high school students that offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with those who hold like and opposing views.<\/p>\n
