www.ymca.org/get-involved/careers/opportunities/open-positions/19550Are you looking for a career move? Check out this great opportunity to be a CEO at a great small town YMCA!
This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead a mission-driven YMCA in a vibrant community.
In partnership with Alliance leaders and association CEOs in these regions, Y-USA is working to understand the impact on YMCAs and their staff. Lack of power, cell service and impassable roads are making the task of assessing the damage very difficult. While the full extent of the damage may not be known for a few days, the information we have been able to gather suggests that it will be significant, and that the road to recovery for Ys and their staff will be long and difficult. If you want to help, there are a few immediate ways to do so: Contribute to the Employee Assistance Fund, which provides financial aid to Y staff in need after natural disasters and other crises. Staff who have been impacted can apply for support at this same link. Donate to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund. Y-USA has created this centralized relief fund and will work with Alliance leaders to distribute donations to YMCA associations that need them most, to aid near-term efforts to get damaged facilities back up and running and to support long-term recovery. Starting this evening, please encourage your associations to share the Y's national social media posts highlighting our relief efforts.I’ve had the opportunity to communicate with some of our leaders in the affected regions, and their resilience and humanity are truly inspiring. While they are concerned about the state of their facilities, their top priorities are caring for their colleagues and serving and supporting their neighbors. They represent the best of the Y. We know any outreach to colleagues in the affected regions would be well-intended, but we encourage you to give them the time and space needed to focus on the many challenges they face right now. We will keep you posted as the situation develops, and if needs beyond financial support arise, we will let you know what those are and how you can help. In the meantime, we ask that you keep your Y colleagues and all people in these areas in your thoughts and prayers. The days and weeks ahead will be trying, but your support will be a great source of strength.
